So far, we saw everyone was in high spirits enjoying the fire festival, unaware of the incoming raid by the samurai. Then, Franky introduced two new toys from the Sunny that will help them in their battle. After that, Luffy and Zoro waltzed into the enemy territory, searching for Kid.
King called Tobi Roppo out by mentioning Kaido’s name to inform them to find Kaido’s son, Yamato. Kaido’s men tested Luffy’s anger as they kept wasting food. Zoro slashed a whole building down just to get to Luffy, creating a huge uproar.

Episode 986 Speculations and Discussions
One Piece Episode 986 is titled “Fighting Music! An Ability That Harms Luffy!”
As we saw, episode 985 ended with Luffy and Zoro creating a Ruckus by attacking Kaido’s men and bringing down buildings.
This is not going to go unnoticed. Everyone will soon realize that Luffy and Zoro are not one of them and attack them.
Scratchmen Apoo should ideally be the first to identify them as the Straw Hats as he is part of the Worst Generation and command the men to attack them.
Even though Luffy and Zoro are superior to all of them in every way, even they will be overwhelmed by the sheer number of them attacking all at once.
I’m hoping that Kid and his crew join in with the Straw Hats and take everyone down one by one.

Recap of Episode 985
Episode 985, titled “Thinking of Tama! Luffy’s Furious Strike!” starts with Zoro searching for Luffy, who is searching for Kid.
As he cannot find Luffy anywhere, he starts searching for Kaido and expects to find Luffy there.
Meanwhile, King summoned Tobi Roppo by mentioning Kaido’s name as he knew some of them would not come otherwise.
He mentions how they need to find Kaido’s son Yamato, who has disappeared. Kaido needs him to be present as he plans on making an important announcement later.
Kaido further tempts them, saying that if they successfully find Yamato, they will be allowed to challenge any Lead Performer of their choice, making them agree readily.
Meanwhile, Luffy gets aggravated by Kaido’s men, who continue to waste food. To prevent them from wasting any more, Luffy proceeds to eat all the food.
Even then, they continue to waste food. Luffy remembers that Tama did not get to any food, is pushed past his limits, where he loses control, and violently takes them down.
Luffy’s attack attracts a lot of attention, helping Zoro to find his way to Luffy. However, Zoro being the blockhead he is, does not approach Luffy sneakily.
He uses Enma to take down an entire building to get to Luffy and ironically lectures Luffy on not keeping a low profile.
The episode ends with Luffy explaining why he lost his temper, to which Zoro lost his cool and prepares to slash everyone down.
