We saw how Luffy and the others took down the fortress with ease, unaware of how big an obstacle it was for the Samurai. But, of course, the Samurai were hyped up after that and charged towards Onigashima at full speed. 

In episode 983, everyone arrived at Onigashima. Kin’emon used his Devil Fruit powers to make disguise everyone as Kaido’s Gifters. Kin’emon and the samurais showed their resolve and conviction to win this battle and charged forward.

Episode 984 Speculations and Discussions

One Piece Episode 984 is titled “Luffy Goes Out of Control?! Sneaking into Kaido’s Banquet!”

As we know, Kid and Luffy are going to act as decoys while everyone else infiltrates Kaido’s stronghold.

However, this is Kid and Luffy we are talking about here. Therefore, there is no chance that this plan is going to be carried out smoothly. 

I’m sure we will get to see Luffy reveal his identity due to circumstances that will make everyone surround and attack him. 

Since Kid will be within close proximity of Luffy, he may even get dragged into it. I cannot wait to see Luffy and Kid team up and take out the enemies.

Recap of Episode 983

Episode 983, titled “The Samurai Warriors’ Earnestness! The Straw Hats Land at Onigashima!” starts off with Kine’mon and his men charging towards Onigashima after the Straw Hats cleared the way.

Luffy excites his crew by saying that they will have a massive banquet once he defeats Kaido. However, Kid interrupts him, saying that he will be the one to take down Kaido and overtakes the Sunny.

Luffy tells Jinbe to keep up with Kid as they both compete to see who will defeat Kaido. Everyone reaches Onigashima, Kaido’s stronghold, and is in awe of the place. But then, they realize that they’ll have to go deeper into Onigashima to get to Kaido.

Usopp notices some of Kaido’s men, who are nearby, and puts them to sleep before they could go and inform the others of their invasion.

Jinbe states how getting all these ships through Onigashima will provoke the enemy. Just then, Kin’emon tells his men to disembark, and they begin destroying their ships. 

Luffy questions the Samurai’s actions, to which Kin’emon says that they do not require ships to return as they will win this battle. 

Kin’mon then uses his Devil Fruit powers to disguise everyone as Kaido’s Gifters so that they can be lowkey and blend in with the crowd. The episode ends with Kin’emon giving everyone a pep talk and wishing them luck for the upcoming battle.
