One Piece Episode 982: Release Date, Speculation, And Watch Online

One Piece Episode 981, titled “A New Member! ‘First Son of the Sea’ Jinbe!” aired this week.

Last time, we saw that Kanjuro kidnapped Momonosuke and was on his way to deliver him to Orochi. Luffy promised Momonosuke that he would save him no matter what. Jinbe lived up to his promise and returned to Luffy’s side. 

In episode 981, Jinbe once again pledged allegiance to Luffy. Jinbe’s return overjoyed everyone in the crew. Then, Law explained the plan to raid Onigashima.

1. Episode 982 Speculations and Discussions

One Piece Episode 982 is titled “Kaido’s Trump Card! The Tobbi Roppo Appear!”

The start of the most anticipated battle of Onigashima is almost here. We have held on for so long, and I’m sure we can keep at it for another week or two. 

The next episode will be introducing Kaido’s elite squad, the Tobbi Roppo. These are members who function directly under Kaido and are significantly stronger than the others. 

Now that Jinbe has rejoined the crew officially, Luffy and the others are completely hyped up, and are itching for a battle. I’m sure Luffy and Zoro alone will create enough chaos to rile up half of Onigashima. 

To top that, we also have the hot-headed Kid, who is like a more aggressive version of Luffy. He definitely will charge into this battle thoughtlessly. 

I cannot wait for the stand-off between Kaido and Big Mom and the dynamic trio from the Worst Generation. 

2. Episode 982 Release Date

Episode 982 of the One Piece anime, titled “Kaido’s Trump Card! The Tobbi Roppo Appear!”, has been released on Sunday, Jul 11, 2021.

No, One Piece is not on break this week. Episode 982 is set to air as scheduled. No delay has been announced.

3. Recap of Episode 981

Episode 981, titled “A New Member! ‘First Son of the Sea’ Jinbe!” starts off with Jinbe making his presence acknowledged by everyone at sea.

Jinbe then proceeds to join the crew officially. So naturally, everyone in the crew is ecstatic now that Jinbe is back and all their members are present. 

Luffy is moved by Jinbe’s return and remembers how Jinbe was there for him during some of his toughest moments. Jinbe also recalls how he promised Ace to look out for Luffy. 

Now that Jinbe is here, the ship finally has someone who’ll maneuver it the right way and tap into its true potential.  

Kin’emon proceeds to tell the others his plan to attack Onigashima. Denjiro mistook this plan as a fake and applauds Kin’emon for coming up with a fake plan to misguide Kanjuro. He then asks him to reveal the actual plan.

Kin’emon is put on the spot as he does not have any other plan. However, Law arrives to save the day. He comes up with a double decoy plan in which he and his submarine will have a significant role to play. 

Everyone immediately agrees to this plan and prepares to invade Onigashima. 

The Straw Hats want to celebrate Jinbe’s return, but they do not have booze on them. However, Zoro and Luffy smell booze and food, respectively, from a particular direction. 

Usopp reveals that location to be a fortress where Kaido’s men are heavily armed. They notice Luffy and the others and proceed to attack The Thousand Sunny. 

The episode ends with Luffy and the others attacking the fortress to bring it down while Jinbe maneuvers the ship so that it intakes no damage.
