One Piece Episode 979: Release Date, Speculation, And Watch Online

One Piece Episode 978, titled “The Worst Generation Charges In! The Battle of the Stormy Sea!” aired this week.

Last time, we witnessed that Kin’emon’s plan was leaked once again. Everyone in the Akazaya Nine expressed their views on the presence of a traitor among them.

Kanjuro revealed himself to be the traitor. Then, Luffy, Kid, and Law made an appearance, shocking everyone. 

In episode 978, Luffy, Kid, and Law fought over who could bring down the enemy faster. Kyoshiro arrived with his men and ended up taking down Kaido’s men, confusing everyone.

1. Episode 979 Speculations and Discussions

One Piece Episode 979 is titled “Good Luck?! Leader Kin’emon’s Plot!”

Concerning the preview at the end of episode 978, we shall see Kyoshiro reveal himself as Denjiro to Kin’emon and the others. 

Denjiro will inform Kin’emon and the others about various inside information on Kaido and Orochi since he was on their side in disguise. To add to that, the thugs from the Kyoshiro family will join the battle against Kaido and Orochi.

Despite being told that Kaido’s men have destroyed the ships of Kin’emon’s allies, we will see the allies somehow make it to Kin’emon and the others. Then, together they will all head towards Onigashima.

3. Recap of Episode 978

Episode 978, titled “The Worst Generation Charges In! The Battle of the Stormy Sea!” starts off with Luffy, Kid, and Law making their appearance on the sea. 

Kaido’s men immediately go on the offensive with hopes to take them down quickly. However, Zoro finds this to be the ideal opportunity to use his new sword Enma. Usopp assists him with his Green Star to take down a part of their battleship.

Kanjuro is surprised to see Luffy and the others arrive. The information he had passed onto Orochi should have guaranteed their absence from the battlefield. 

Kaido’s men, who were given the task of destroying Luffy’s ship, are surprised to see the ship unharmed. They were sure that they had bombed it. 

Franky mockingly tells them that their simple bombs can’t damage the Thousand Sunny as it is built from the Jewel Tree Adam. 

Luffy and the others notice that they are the only ones present on the sea. Luffy asks Kin’emon where their allies are, to which Kin’emon grovels and begs for forgiveness as he feels responsible for the plan’s leakage.

Kaido’s men proceed to attack Luffy and the others. While attacking, they mention that there is no way their allies will make it to Onigashima as they have destroyed all the ships and bridges, thus cutting off their path. 

They also reveal that the feast at Onigashima is also to celebrate the newly formed alliance between the Animal Kingdom Pirates and the Big Mom Pirates. 

Luffy, Kid, and Law, unbothered by this revelation, take their stance to attack the battleships. All the three of them order the other two to stay out of this as they all feel like they’re enough to take down this insignificant fleet of battleships. 

The episode ends with Kyoshiro appearing on the scene and being asked to help by Kaido’s men. However, he ends up taking down Kaido’s battleship, surprising everyone.
