After doing all he could for his people, Oden is now being executed to protect his people. This news spreads like wildfire throughout the Land of Wano.
The people of Wano beg Orochi to stop the execution of Oden. However, this just angers Orochi, and he orders his men to shoot them with arrows.
Oden does not let his retainers step into the pot of boiling oil. He carries them on his back with the help of a plank to protect them.
Oden realizes that his death is near and passes on his will to his retainers. He commands them to open up the Land of Wano, anticipating a figure who will save this world.
On his adventures with Roger and Whitebeard, Oden learns the history of the world. He knows why the Land of Wano is secluded from the other nations.
Oden successfully lasts for an hour in the pot of boiling oil. However, Orochi has another dirty trick up his sleeve. He declares the execution to be shot to death at the last moment.
Before Orochi’s men could open fire, Oden threw the plank his retainers were on, far from the soldiers, helping them escape.
The episode ends with Kaido paying respect to Oden for being one of the most strong-willed men he has met and then proceeds to shoot him, thus killing him.
