Episode 1124 of One Piece, titled “Completely Surrounded! The Operation to Escape Egghead,” picks up with Luffy in direct contact with the Gorosei. In true Luffy fashion, he boldly announces his name and his dream of becoming Pirate King before casually threatening to kill Vegapunk York if they don’t pull back the Buster Call.
When one of the elders tries to pry more information from him, Nico Robin abruptly cuts the transmission, leaving the Straw Hat Pirates to proceed with their escape plan.
The crew regroups to evaluate the current situation. CP-0 agents and the Seraphim are secured, as Nami got them using Lilith’s Bubble Gun. With the path ahead pointing to Elbaph Island, revealed by the Log Pose, excitement stirs within the crew, particularly Luffy and Usopp.
However, escaping Egghead is not going to be easy. The Thousand Sunny’s Coup de Burst system could launch them skyward, but the Frontier Dome must be deactivated first. The problem? Only York has the password, and she isn’t talking.
While Vegapunk Stella, Atlas, and Pythagoras attempt to override the system, a team made up of Luffy, Bonney, Franky, and Lilith heads off to retrieve the Sunny. Meanwhile, on the other side of the island, Admiral Kizaru lands. Instead of simply bypassing defenses, he asks to face Sentomaru directly.
It’s a rare personal moment from someone who usually just follows orders. Kizaru and Sentomaru go way back, and now they’re standing on opposite sides of a battle neither of them really wanted.
The episode closes with Kizaru using his light-speed Devil Fruit ability to enter the battlefield. As he reaches the island’s lower levels, Sentomaru prepares for battle, backed by Sea Beast Weapons and Pacifistas.
At the same time, Luffy’s Observation Haki picks up on Kizaru’s presence, signaling that a someone really strong has arrived. With the retrieval mission underway and the Marines moving in, the stage is now set for the first major clash in the Egghead Island conflict.
3. Speculation of Episode 1125 of One Piece
With Kizaru now on the island and his fight with Sentomaru about to begin, the next episode will likely focus on their battle. At the same time, we’ll probably see the Straw Hats continue their push to reach the Thousand Sunny, while the rest of the crew works on unlocking the Frontier Dome.
Given how the story is unfolding, it’s unlikely they’ll escape just yet, but tension seems to keep getting higher as more Marines close in and Luffy gets closer to crossing paths with Kizaru again.
