One Piece Episode 1073: Release Date, Speculation, Watch Online

Luffy and Kaido continue their bizarre fight in episode 1072, titled “Luffy’s Peak- Attained! Gear Five.”

It was an entertaining episode through and through. We got to see a lot of Gear 5, and that is all fans needed. Throughout the episode, Luffy spent more time bouncing and playing around than fighting Kaido.

At one point in time, the power faded away, but through his determination to defeat Kaido, he gets back to Gear Five and overwhelms Kaido. Kaido couldn’t do anything other than being a toy for Luffy and got played around.

1. Episode 1073 Release Date

Episode 1073 of the One Piece anime has been released on Saturday, Aug 19, 2023. The episode title or preview has not been shown.

It is a weekly anime, and a new episode is released every Saturday. You can watch One Piece on AppleTV, Crunchyroll, Funimation, and Netflix.

No, episode 1073 of One Piece is not on break this week. The episode will be released as per schedule.

2. Episode 1073 Speculations

Everyone will try to find ways to prevent the fall of Onigashima in episode 1073, titled “No Way Out! A Hellish Scene on Onigashima.”

The focus will now shift a little bit to the rest of the characters. Onigashima is blazing hot with fire, and most part of it has burned down by now. So, all the samurais and the Straw Hats have to be quick with all the rescue missions.

The preview indicated that Raizo would be one of the prominent characters in the next episode as he will sacrifice himself for the samurais. Aside from all that, we will also get some more Gear Five action (obviously).

3. Episode 1072 Recap

Luffy enjoys the new power he obtained, while Kaido wonders that the type of transformation he went through can only be obtained by Zoan-type users.

He swallows Luffy, but Luffy starts having fun inside Kaido. He turns Kaido’s body into a giant ball. Kaido unwantedly starts bouncing around the roof, unable to do anything.

Momonosuke and Yamato go to the roof and are shocked to find Kaido in this weird state. Luffy sees some light and extends his hands through Kaido’s eyes.

He pushes himself through Kaido’s body, holding his nose from the inside, and successfully comes out. Momonosuke and Yamato reach the roof and only find Kaido.

A giant figure appears from the sky. Luffy has grown bigger in size. Yamato is unable to recognize him at first, but Momo does. Luffy takes Kaido and starts using him as a skipping rope.

Kaido throws a Blast Breath at Luffy, throwing him away. The situation gets worse all around the island. Luffy comes back to attack Kaido, but the latter attacks him with Ragnarok.

Luffy’s head breaks through the roof, shouting in pain (comically), and everyone is shocked to see his bizarre form. He gets tired and starts returning back to his normal form.

He gets much weaker and loses all his energy. However, he refuses to stay put and starts gaining the fifth gear again. He returns to his godly form, ready to take on Kaido once more.

He jumps and plays around, affecting his surroundings. Kaido is unable to get hold of the power. Luffy prepares to launch himself at Kaido like a slingshot. He punches Kaido in the face, and the punch throws Kaido away like rubber.

Kaido doesn’t stand up and continues lying down while Luffy thinks about what name he will give to his new attack. Kaido asks him who he is. Luffy replies he is Money D. Luffy, the man who will surpass Kaido and becomes the Pirate King (we get it already!).
