One Piece Episode 1049: Release Date, Speculation, Watch Online

Yamato recollects her memories of twenty years ago in episode 1048, titled “For the Future! Yamato and the Great Swordsmen’s Pledge!”

The whole episode was a flashback. We saw the inspirations behind Yamato’s determination. We met three samurais who Kaido imprisoned as they went Rogue after Oden’s death.

The fight sequence at the end of the episode really hyped the fans up, and they all went crazy, as the battle was wonderfully animated at the end of the episode. It was a heartfelt episode, and we saw a lot of cute small Yamato.

Episode 1049 Speculations

Luffy and Momonosuke will try to reach the land of Wano in episode 1049, titled “Luffy Soars! Revenge Against the King of the Beasts.”

The next episode will mainly focus on two things, Yamato and Kaido’s fight and Luffy and Momo’s attempts to fly high. I think they are stretching the fight between Yamato and Kaido for too long, but it will soon end as Luffy reaches the roof.

It will be hilarious to see the attempts made by Luffy and Momo to fly, as, for some reason, Momo cannot do the same, maybe because he lacks experience. From what we saw in the preview, it seems like they will finally reach the roof by the end of the next episode.

Episode 1048 Recap

Momonosuke takes Luffy and tries to fly toward Wano, but he immediately fails and falls. Yamato stands no chance in front of Kaido. He tells her that she can’t be Oden.

We get a flashback of twenty years ago. Yamato tries to open the border with the Wano. The soldiers cannot stop her, so after a lot of effort, they restrain her by force.

Kaido comes to see her and finds out that she can use the Color of the Supreme King. He wants her to use her powers for him but gets angry when Yamato tells him that she wants to be Oden.

He chains her and encloses her in a cave with three samurais of Wano. He gives her one month time to think. He places meals for one person in front of them and wants them to choose among themselves who will have it.

The samurais offer the food to Yamato, telling her that samurais don’t feel hungry. Yamato eats the food. They all talk about Oden, and they start training Yamato to become Oden.

Yamato takes out Oden’s travel journal and wants the samurais to read it for them. They start reading it. The journal consists of Oden’s adventures with Roger to the end of the world and how this adventure created waves worldwide.

Oden got the answer to every mystery present in the world once he reached the final island. Roger names the final island Laugh Tale. The samurais break out of the cave and sacrifice themselves to save Yamato.

We return to the present time, where Yamato and Kaido begin fighting again. The episode ends with a few seconds of a sickly animated action sequence as Yamato and Kaido stand strong against each other.
