Thanks to the long recap and slow pacing, not much happened in this episode. Otama moved ahead to retrieve Komachiyo with Gifters by her side. The fight has become quite easy for them thanks to the sudden shift of allies.

Who’s-Who and Jinbe continued their battle where they fought less and talked a lot. Who’s-Who mentioned Nika as he wanted to know about him, but Jinbe wasn’t interested in talks, so he beat him up.

Episode 1041 Speculations

Yamato will release her true power against Kaido in episode 1041, titled “Showdown Battles of the Monsters! Yamato and Franky.”

It looks like a lot will happen in the next episode. The prime focus will be two separate battles, the fight between Kaido and Yamato and the one between Franky and Sasaki.

Zoro will finally get back up to join the battlefield. I am hyped to see Yamato and Kaido’s battle more than anything. I just hope the next episode will not waste much time on recaps and will give us what we need.

Episode 1040 Recap

Otama, Nami, and Usopp move ahead on Horselina’s back to recover Komachiyo. They are accompanied by Daifugo and Gazelle, who clear their way ahead. Zeus asks Nami to let him become her attendant.

She refuses as what she wants is a partner. Thus, Zeus becomes her partner. He gets excited and starts frying the enemies with electricity. The CP0 observes the change of sides and reports that 2000 members have switched sides, and now the difference between the enemies has reduced.

However, none of this is their concern as they are only there to confirm Who’s-Who’s death. Who’s-Who is currently facing Jinbei.

Jinbei asks Who’s-Who why he hates Luffy. He says he doesn’t hate Luffy, but he hates Shanks, who stole the Gum-Gum fruit 13 years ago and forced him to go through hell.

Thus his hate is also transferred to Luffy, who ate the fruit and rose to prominence and also had the audacity to come to Wano. Now, he was easily defeated by Kaido. Jinbe interrupts him saying Luffy will return.

In the sea, the Heart Pirates continuously try to wake up Luffy. However, he is not responding at all. Who’s-Who asks Jinbe why someone of his stature is following a brat?

Jinbe remembers his time with Luffy and what he means to the crew. He replies that the reason is something Who’s-Who will never understand. Who’s-Who gets annoyed and begins attacking Jinbe.

He covers his fangs and arms with haki and rushes towards Jinbe. Jinbe slams him down with great strength. Who’s-Who stops for a while and starts telling him about a story he heard in prison.

He starts telling Jinbe about the Sun God Nika. He believed that Nika would come one day and save him, but a long time passed, and he escaped himself. The guard who told him about Nika was executed.

Thus he asks Jinbe whether just knowing about the god is that dangerous that it will get you killed. He furiously attacks Jinbe however, suddenly, Jinbe’s haki breaks his finger.

Jinbe starts to counterattack. Who’s-Who’s attacks stop harming him, and he knocks him down and throws him away with a demon fist.
