One Piece Chapter 985: Kaido Declares War, SPOILER is DEAD!

The latest chapters of the Wano Country arc led the One Piece fans to speculate and heavily support the idea of Yamato joining the crew of Luffy.

Chapter 985 One Piece confirms that Yamato and Luffy’s goals are the same that they may even cooperate to defeat Kaido.

Yamato reveals that as a child, she was abused and beaten up by her father and that she wants revenge against him.

She told Luffy that Kaido had put handcuffs on her since she was 8, and they have a possibility of exploding if she ever leaves the island.

1. New Onigashima

Meanwhile, Kaido declares to the pirates that the government’s new forces are no match against them. Their crew merged with that of Big Mom’s, and he states that they will seek out the world’s most potent ancient weapon.

They want to obtain One Piece to create a territory for pirates which will be a chaotic paradise.

Kaido wants to have Wano country as his base due to its suitable geographical position and exploit the Flower country citizens to work in factories and make weapons for them. He renames the Flower Capital to New Onigashima.

2. Death of Orochi

As Kaido declares his intention to make the Flower Capital a paradise of lawlessness, Orochi opposes him by saying that the Flower Capital is his area.

Immediately Kaido beheads Orochi; he doesn’t stop to hesitate or think for a single second before killing Orochi. This might lead one to believe that Kaido had planned to kill Orochi as soon as he was done with him.

Lord Orochi’s head topples over, and Kaido gives Orochi’s crew 5 seconds to choose whether to side with him or not. The result of non-cooperation seems evident.

3. Kaido Declares War

Kaido declares that to fight a “Final War,” the Flower Capital has to be changed to a Pirate Empire. The samurai have to become pirates and fight together.

Their main activity, i.e., raids, will be increased in frequency to support the war preparations. He proclaims that Yamato will be the Shogun of the state.

Yamato and Luffy fall off the roof while shouting against Kaido’s decisions.
