4. Chapter 982 Raw Scans, Leaks & Spoilers
One Piece chapter 982 raw scans were released recently. The upcoming chapter will show us Kanjuro finally making it and reporting to Orochi and Kaido. We see that Momonosuke is still with Kanjuro and has not been able to escape.
Apparently, even though Luffy, Zoro, Kid and Killer blew their cover, no one seems to suspect that there are other samurais in the banquet. Kaido ignores the situation and continues having a drink with Orochi, Black Maria and others.
On the other side of the map, Nekomamushi, Marco and Izo are sailing to Onigashima. They make contact with Inuarashi in Law’s submarine and get caught up with the situation.
Denjiro’s team is advancing swiftly and manages to fool and capture Sasaki as he did not know that Denjiro is on the samurai side.
Back near Black Maria’s brothel, Big Mom is in pursuit of Chopper and Usopp, who are drawing them away from the rest of Kin’emon’s team. Unfortunately, Prometheus spots Nami, and calls for Big Mom.
While escaping, Luffy runs into Page One and Ulti.

5. Chapter 982 Speculations/Predictions
Chapter 981 ended with Marco, Izo, and Nekomamushi climbing up the waterfall of Wano. The chapter strongly hinted that some pirate alliances will fail during this arc, it’s just a matter of time before we find out which.
I. Yamato
All the Tobi Roppo are currently searching for Yamato, Kaido’s son. Yamato will likely be found in the coming few chapters and brought to Kaido. It will be very exciting to see what Oda has in store for us when it comes to Kaido’s family.
II. Kaido’s Big Announcement
During chapter 980, Kaido’s assistant, a Flying Squirrel smile user, reminded Kaido of an important announcement he needs to make. Kaido says that everyone needs to wait before he announces it; otherwise, people will get confused.
Shortly before the Reverie arc, Oda mentioned a “Lurking Legend” in an interview. While he may have been talking about Emu-sama, it is possible that he meant Rox, the captain of the Rox pirates.
With Kaido and Big Mom’s new alliance, the announcement likely has something to do with Rox and the return of the Rox pirates. In my opinion, nothing except the return of their former captain can bring these two Yonko together.
6. Chapter 981 Plot
The chapter starts with showing us the impact of Kid’s attack on Apoo. After this, everyone figures out that another member of the Worst Generation is at the banquet. After mocking Kid’s alliance with Luffy, Apoo launches an attack on Kid.
One of the numbers, Haccha, is revealed to be bigger than even giants. It starts wreaking havoc in the place after Queen gives everyone permission to kill the invaders. The trio of Luffy, Zoro, and Kid try to escape the area.
Killer joins them and advises them that if they cover their ears, Apoo’s attacks will be minimal. Who’s Who notices the ruckus, but ignores it as he has his full attention on finding Yamato.
On the other side of the island, Kin’emon’s group is advancing to attack Kaido’s army with a pincer movement. They run into Black Maria’s brothel, which is seemingly empty. Moments later, Big Mom emerges from the brothel, and everyone hides except for Chopper. Chopper makes eye contact with Big Mom, and the scene ends there.
On the falls outside of Wano, we see major development. Big Mom’s crew is finally back up and trying to climb the waterfall after King pushed them off.
However, this time they are interrupted yet again! Marco “The Phoenix” emerges in his Zoan form and knocks their ship down once again. The chapter ends after revealing that Marco, Izo, and Nekomamushi have made it to Wano!
