After the emotional turns in chapter 1123, the latest One Piece manga Chapter 1123 provides hope and new beginnings. One Piece manga will not be on a break next week and chapter 1124 will be released on the 26th of August.
The chapter 1124 is titled Best Friend. The cover page reads- Ogre Child Yamato’s Golden Harvest Surrogate Pilgrimage, Volume 12. Yamato rescues a woman who is about to be kidnapped. We see a silhouette of the person. Read to know the major events of One-Piece Chapter 1124.
World Economy Newspaper Headquarters
The chapter starts in the World Economy Newspaper Headquarters with Morgans, Wapol and Vivi. Morgans can be seen excitedly preparing the headlines to spread fear throughout the world. “Law vs Blackbeard”, “Kid vs Red Hair” and “Straw Hat murdering Vegapunk” – so goes the headlines.
Morgans is interrupted by Vivi as she calls Morgans a liar. She tells him that no smart person in the world would believe his news. As Vivi confronts Morgans, Wapol tries to calm her down. Whereas, Morgans is frustrated that she doesn’t fear his threats.
Morgans says that he really doesn’t care if the world sinks as his home is in the sky. He says that maybe it is his era now.
Cut to Egghead
The panel then changes to Egghead showing Sentoumaru crying as he leaves the island on a small boat. Akainu can be seen calling the Marines but there is no one to answer. Kizaru gets up and answers the call. There is a confusion in this panel as it is not sure whether Kizaru was down too before Akainu’s call or not. But he was the only Marine awake to answer the call.
Kizaru tells that he will order the young marines to report after they wake up. Akainu asks about the safety of Saturn and the Power Plant. He complaints that Kizaru is doing a lousy job. Kizaru asks back in a serious tone whether he ever had to kill his best friend. Akainu is not able to respond to that question.
We see a panel of Kizaru’s flashback about Vegapunk. The first day they met, the time when Vegapunk started building Egghead and more which makes him shout in tears. Kizaru gets angry and sad as he yells back at Akainu for doubting his abilities.
Akainu is shocked to hear Kizaru’s tone and he apologize. Kizaru is deep in emotion, and he asks him to shut up and tells him that it’s too late for an apology.
Meanwhile in the Elbaf Ship
The panel cuts to the Elbaf ship and we see the Straw Hat crew drinking a bit. They call for the feast since they are not in the right mood. Nami, Usopp, Sanji and Chopper can be seen taking care of Lilith on a giant sofa. They look so small in comparison to the size of the sofa. Lilith wakes up.
Chopper exclaims his happiness seeing Lilith awake. Nami asks if Lilth is okay meanwhile Sanji tries calling Lilith. Lilith looks around in surprise and checks her earpiece. Usopp fills Lilith on what happened and tells that they are now on the giant ship.
Usopp carefully tells that Lilith is the only Vegapunk they could save and apologizes. Nami tells that Atlas hit Lilith on head and that is what happened. Lilith responds that it is fine as she understands everything since she was already informed. Sanji is confused.
Lilith starts acting weird as she starts to cry like a child. Lilith tells them to let her cry. Usopp wonders what part of Lilith is supposed to be evil. Lilith suddenly announces that she is hungry.
They say that Lilith can have the food prepared by the giants. Brook says that the mood on the giant’s table is gloomy. Then the panel shows a depressed Luffy eating a giant grape. Luffy is sad because he had made a promise to save the apple man and failed even though he was a yonkou.
Chopper says that Luffy is in a serious state and that he had only eaten five clusters of grapes. Lilith couldn’t take it anymore and says that she already cried for everyone’s death. She says that its only death in their conceptions. She says that all of them were alive and were only dead in their definition.
Chopper asks if they had become ghosts. Lilith corrects herself saying that they fulfilled their promise. So, there is no need to be sad addressing Luffy. Luffy is happy after Lilith’s words and he comes to the deck and jumps onto the table. Luffy thanks the giants for helping them. They start a party with food and booze.
Usopp tells Zoro (in Sunny) that Luffy is back to normal. The Straw Hats and Lilith join the party. Robin hugs Chopper like a stuffed toy. Robin mentions Elbaf and Saul. Chopper is happy. meanwhile, the giants tell Luffy about what Vegapunk said. He tells that according to Vegapunk’s broadcast, the guy who finds the one piece will move the world.
He asks Luffy who the King of Pirates will be. Luffy asks them back why they thought he wanted to become a pirate. Luffy says that even if they try to stop him, it is obvious that he will become the King of Pirates.
The narration goes on as it says that the ship sailed towards the north east direction, to the long-anticipated land of the giants. In the last panel, we see Warland Elbaf where a silhouette of a person can be seen on the shore. The mysterious person says- Come.
The editor leaves a message saying that someone is awaiting them on the island of the giants. The chapter ends.
