The previous chapter saw Straw Hats and Giant Pirates finally leaving Egghead. On the other side, Dr. Vegapunk’s flashback revealed his lethal counterattack against the traitor York. The ending also unveiled Vegapunk’s wish for Straw Hats to find the One Piece.
Yamato’s Kindness and Kizaru’s Ultimate Breakdown
The latest chapter, titled ‘Best Friend,’ starts with a cover page, which continues Yamato’s Journey across Wano. Yamato is seen to save a woman’s life, but the details are yet to be revealed.
On the other hand, Morgan is sighted after many chapters as he attempts to share the revelations about a series of battle conclusions: Kid losing to Shanks and Law losing to Blackbeard and Luffy. But Vivy intervenes, forcing him to stay silent.
Akainu contacts Egghead, which Kizaru answers. He accuses Kizaru of his major failure in Egghead, which leads to him suffering an inevitable breakdown. Kizaru retorts by asking if Akainu has ever killed his best friend and if he has doubts, he should try and see for himself.
Surprising Revelations and Straw Hats Sail towards Elbaf
On the other hand, Straw hats are in low spirits after they fail to save Vegapunk. But in a surprising turn of events, Lilith, one of Dr. Vegapunk’s satellites, wakes up. She then reassures the pirates that they didn’t fail and reveals herself as Vegapunk.
Straw Hats’ joy knows no bounds as they celebrate with Lilith. The chapter ends with the crew sailing towards the Elbaf, the Island of Giants, signaling the beginning of the most anticipated arc of One Piece.
In the last panel, a mysterious silhouette is seen drinking on the Elbaf coast, uttering the word ‘come.’ There are many speculations regarding that mystery man for which fans have to wait for future chapters, but it may pose the next big challenge for our beloved crew.
