Chapter 1041 of One Piece, titled “Hiyori,” is the latest addition to the manga.
This chapter had lots of moments describing the state of most of the characters. Momo reveals that he can communicate with Zunesha, which impresses Yamato. He says that Zunesha is on their side and is waiting for orders.
Orochi discovers that Hiyori is Oden’s daughter and is spiteful of him. Zoro is rescued by Franky in an unconscious state. Kiku and Kin’emon are also being taken to safety.
Most importantly, Luffy and Kaidou’s fight has taken a turn after Big Mom’s defeat.
While Luffy has momentarily gained the upper hand, Kaidou’s emotions could fuel his power, making him even fiercer. Will Luffy defeat Kaidou for good? We’ll find out in the next chapter of One Piece.
1. Chapter 1042 Discussions and Predictions
The next chapter will continue with Kaidou and Luffy’s fight on the roof. Luffy’s sheer determination to defeat his enemy strengthens when he discovers that Big Mom has been defeated.
The battle is going to get intense after Kaidou’s loss of Big Mom and Luffy’s confidence boost.
Also, we’ll see how Momo uses Zunesha to help him. He told Yamato about reading Oden’s journal and not knowing much about the torn page.
He says that his father dreamt of opening up Wano, but if the people will suffer as a consequence, he’s not sure if that’s the right thing. Yamato could play a significant role in clearing things out because she carries the will of Oden.
Finally, Drake finding out about CP0’s mission to kill Luffy will be a crucial development as well. It’s unlikely that the agents will interfere between Kaidou and Luffy, but they could still pose a threat to his life.

The raw scans of chapter 1042 of One Piece have been leaked, and the chapter is named “‘Winners’ need no excuse.” On the cover page, Oven can be seen carrying Vinsmoke’s book to the Whole Cake Island.
In the chapter, X Drake Vs. the CP0 boss battle takes place. Drake stabs the CP0 boss but in return, gets stabbed in his throat. The rest of the chapter shows the Kaidou Vs. Luffy fight.Kaidou showcases three new drunk modes. Luffy also changes to his boundman form and uses a new attack called “Gomu Gomu no Over Kong Gun.”
Kaidou also uses a new attack called “Raikou Hakke.”Suddenly, the CP0 boss appears and Luffy gets distracted, Kaidou takes this chance to brutally hit him.

Zunesha has entered Wano to join the fight from Momonosuke’s side. She communicates with him, telling him that she is awaiting his orders.
Yamato is impressed that the boy can actually communicate with Zunesha and exclaims how he is the one who will guide the world to the dawn.
Momo tells her that after reading his father’s journal, he understood why it is so essential for him to be alive, but for some reason, the most crucial page of the journal was torn.
He continues by telling Yamato that he’s not smart enough to understand Oden’s goals and if it would mean exposing the people of Wano to danger, he does not want to open the borders.
On the third floor, we see the result of the battle of the connecting passage. Raizo emerges as the winner, successfully defeating Fukurokuju.
He’s still surrounded by flames and suffers from getting burnt in the fight, but luckily, Jimbei recognizes him as a Straw Hat ally and saves him.
In the Treasure Repository on the second floor, Orochi angrily interrogates Fukurokuju’s whereabouts. He wonders if the ninja ran away to save his own skin, unaware of the fact that he’s not returning.
As he rants to himself, Hiyori continues playing the koto. Orochi fumes, even more, telling her to stop.
He expresses that he doesn’t even know whether she’s real, but his ranting is cut short when the roof collapses. He tries to save himself by transforming but is unable to do so.
Stuck under the debris, he demands Hiyori to help him out, saying he thought she loved him. Hiyori speaks to him for the first time, revealing that she doesn’t hold a tinge of affection for him.
The song called “Moon Princess” that Orochi loves was also the favorite of her father, Kozuki Oden. This revelation stuns Orochi, and we immediately cut to the castle’s basement.
An injured Izo hopes that his sister, Kiku, survives. He takes out one of the CP0 members while sustaining even more wounds.
The remaining Straw Hats’ allies wonder why a member of Whitebeard’s crew is helping them, but Izo just says that he needs to find Robin. Just then, a call rings in, informing that the Five Elders have decided to eliminate Luffy.
The CP0 agent is surprised since Luffy is already busy with Kaidou, and he doesn’t want to interfere. Meanwhile, Drake listens to this conversation while the agent doesn’t notice.
The caller explains that the Elders know it’s an impossible task, but they still want to avoid the worst-case scenario.
Elsewhere in the basement, Usopp and Hamlet carry Kiku and Kin’emon to a safe spot. Franky finds an unconscious Zoro just in time to save him from falling. He yells at him to ensure he isn’t dead but receives no reply from Zoro.
Nami and Zeus talk about Big Mom’s defeat in the dome, and Zeus tears up for her loss.
This irritates Nami, and she asks him who he cares about more, to which Zeus answers that it’s her. Outside, Kid and Law’s crews celebrate their victory, but Law admits that he doesn’t have any power left to fight Kaidou.
On the roof, Kaidou realizes that Big Mom has been defeated. As she laments, Luffy is pleasantly surprised. Kaidou becomes emotional and remembers his first meeting with Big Mom.
Luffy takes this opportunity to hit his opponent, saying that Big Mom’s ambitions caused great suffering to the people of Wano.
As the chapter ends, Luffy goes all out against Kaidou, declaring that he’s kicking him out of Wano, even if it’s the last thing he does.
