Chapter 1038 of One Piece, titled “Kid & Law vs. Big Mom,” is the latest addition to the manga.
After King and Queen’s downfall, it seems like Big Mom’s reign is about to come to an end. Even if Kid and Law are terribly tattered, they’re still fighting valiantly.
There’s something special about One Piece characters because just when all hope is lost, they pull out one last wild card and turn the tables in their favor.

The Straw Hats are seen walking through the dense forest searching for adventures, and while Onigashima is moved away from the capital, Momonosuke responds to someone calling him.
The fight between Kid and Law and Big Mom continues, and Big Mom suffers serious injury as the attacks of Kid and Law break Big Mom’s bones. Big Mom still recovers, thanks to her Soru Soru no Mi power.
Law goes for one final attack at Big Mom with all he has left. His powerful attack didn’t even leave Wanokuni unscathed. His cursed sword pierces through Linlin, Onigashima, creating a big hole in the ground.
Law takes this opportunity and attacks Big Mom with ‘Puncture Willie.’ To his surprise, Big Mom is still standing and then challenges Kid. Kid finally brings out his trump card and attacks Big Mom with an electromagnetic canon giving a befitting reply to her question if he thinks he can defeat her.
After this attack of Kid, Law says that her era has come to an end.
2. Chapter 1039 Discussions and Predictions
The battle between Kid and Law vs. Big Mom should finally conclude in the next chapter. Their fight has been going on for several chapters, and despite powering up, both Kid and Law are still losing all their stamina while Big Mom stands strong as ever.
After they declared that they were not going to let her reach the roof, I think that the two men must have a trump card on their side. It seems impossible to defeat Big Mom, but after Zoro vs. King and Sanji vs. Queen, it’s time for Kid and Law to shine.
Also, help must be coming to Momonosuke since Yamato has finally reached the armory. Even if it’s not Yamato, we saw a panel where Zunesha had arrived at Wano, so it could be her too.

Raizo and Fukurokuju stand amidst fire and start burning. Fukurokuju begs Raizo to release his jutsu, but Raizo doesn’t budge. Men on the second-floor struggle to escape and notice that the roof above them will collapse.
As the debris falls on them, Jimbei saves everyone by keeping them from the falling roof. He then asks the men to escape as soon as possible and wonders how the fire is spreading so rapidly.
Kid and Law continue fighting Big Mom on the performance floor as the stranglers try to stay away from them. Chopper transforms to his normal form after getting stuck as an Old Man-Baby. His mind wanders to Zoro, who took medicine for a swift recovery. The medicine will heal him, but it will also cause him great pain later.
We then see Zoro, who’s still in a fighting stance despite not being able to move his body. Franky is frantically looking for him in the Right-Brain Tower.
We cut to the First Floor Crawlspace, where Izo defeated the pirates attacking Kin’emon, Kiku, and Usopp.
Looking at Izo, the pirates are surprised to see one of Whitebeard’s division leaders helping the Straw Hats. Izo escapes to the first basement, physically worn out after the fight.
He stumbles upon two CP0 agents tasked with kidnapping Robin and points a gun at them. One of the agents expresses his surprise to see him there but tells him that they must pretend that they never ran into each other since the Straw Hats were more important to them. As they begin to leave, Izo stops them.
Yamato has finally reached the armory and faces the spirit head-on. She freezes the bombs, intending to protect them from the explosion using ice. She then attacks the strange spirit, who cries out to Orochi, and then a hand emerges from inside.
Back to Kid and Law’s crossfire with Big Mom. They have been pushed back by Big Mom, and their crew pleads with her to spare them. They try to help them out, but Big Mom doesn’t hold back and goes all out on them.
With everyone collapsing around her, she turns to notice Kaidou’s fight to see how long it’ll take him.
As she begins to leave for the roof, Law pulls off one last attack where he uses his anesthesia power and stabs Big Mom, piercing her arm and chin. He then launches his Shock Wile attack, making Big Mom fall.
Infuriated, the homies retaliate by attacking Law, but Kid distracts them. Big Mom fell, but she wasn’t defeated yet. She stands up again, but Law gains another shot of motivation.
Both Kid and Law retake a fighting stance and declare that she’s not going to make it to the roof.
