Kid and Law will be having the fight of their life against Big Mom. Zoro and Sanji are busy battling the All-Stars, King, and Queen.

4. Recap of Chapter 1024

Chapter 1024, titled “Nobody Important,” starts with Usopp intimidating his enemies as they are under the impression that he has the Conqueror’s Haki.

That is not the case, though. Big Mom is battling against Kid and Law, whose Conqueror’s Haki is just too strong, knocking everyone out. 

The rest of the samurai are not letting any of Kaido’s men interfere with Zoro and Sanji’s fight against King and Queen.

Meanwhile, Yamato is fighting against Kaido. She realizes that Kaido is actually trying to kill her, even though she is his child.

Kaido states that anyone who disowns him and claims Kozuki Oden’s name does not deserve to live.

The chapter cuts to a flashback where Kaido imprisoned Yamato for claiming to be Oden as a kid. 

He realizes that she has potential since she is capable of using the Conqueror’s Haki. He further locks her in a dungeon with Wano’s greatest swordsmen as they are unwilling to comply with him.

He tells her to reconsider her decisions and let go of her admiration towards Oden. She is under the impression that the swordsmen will kill her for being Kaido’s child. 

To her surprise, they are very cordial to her and offer the only food available to her. She then tells them how she admires Oden and asks them to further translate Oden’s journal for her. 

They then sacrifice their lives, retaliating against Kaido, leaving Wano in the hands of Yamato. 

The chapter ends with Yamato giving it her all against Kaido, stating that he had no right to steal Wano’s freedom.
