Chapter 1022, titled “The Stars Take The Stage,” starts off with a complete analysis of the battlefield.

The Tobi Roppo has been defeated, giving the samurais an edge. Some of Kaido’s men joined the Samurais after eating Otama’s Kibi Dango to make things more favorable.

Raizo tries to talk things out with Fukurokuju, as they were on good terms in the past. Fukurokuku defends himself, saying that shinobi exist to serve the shogun, no matter who it is.

Raizo then states that he and the rest of the Akazaya will see this battle to the end with them coming out on top victorious to avenge Oden. 

He states that they will see to it that Momonosuke will be the Shogun of Wano. They then engage in battle with each other.

On the third floor, Killer is battling Hawkins. He is able to overpower Hawkins with not much effort. 

Hawkins then states that he has Kid’s life within his hand, and if Killer were to kill him, Kid would die. 

Meanwhile, as Killer attacked Hawkins, Kid took considerable damage because of Hawkins’s ability.

On another part of the battlefield, King and Queen teach a lesson to everyone who betrayed them because of Otama’s ability. 

They are also looking for Zoro as he is a major threat after dealing damage to Kaido and should not be allowed to rejoin the battle.

Sanji distracts Queen but is unable to do anything about King. An immobile Zoro is being carried around to be hidden from them but King finds them quickly.

King immediately attacks to eliminate Zoro but Marco intervenes and uses his remaining strength to give Zoro enough time to recover and join the battle.

The chapter ends with Zoro and Sanji simultaneously attacking King and Queen, rejoining the battle and taking up the spotlight.
