The full roster of the One Chicago lineup, i.e., Chicago Med, Chicago Fire, and Chicago, are all set to drop new episodes on Wednesday, March 27, 2024.
They’re right in the middle of their latest seasons, which got pushed back because of last year’s WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes.
Thus, we didn’t get the new seasons of Chicago Med (season 9), Chicago Fire (season 12), and Chicago PD (season 11) until January this year, and they’ve got fewer episodes than usual.
However, there are still a bunch of episodes left to watch before the seasons wrap up, probably in May. Moreover, on March 27, we’re getting three hours of additional content from the One Chicago world.
NBC has already approved another round: Chicago Med season 10, Chicago Fire season 13, and Chicago PD season 12. Therefore, as this season winds down in the spring, more will likely air later in the year, likely kicking off in the fall.
The One Chicago series hit a bit of a snag because of the writer and actor strikes last year, so we’re getting a shorter run this time—just 13 episodes for each show. That means the current seasons of Chicago Med (season 9), Chicago Fire (season 12), and Chicago PD (season 11) are going to be the shortest we’ve seen.
However, they’ve all been picked up for more seasons, so we should be back to the usual 22 episodes next time around.
As for what’s coming up, episode 8 for all three shows will air on March 27, 2024, and episode 9 will drop a week later on April 3.
After that, NBC is keeping us in suspense because they haven’t shared the schedule since April 3, so it looks like we might be in for another break.
