Genshin Impact has a huge cast of characters with more being added. So far, the game consists of 47 characters as of now.
The cast includes a diverse group of characters ranging from humans to even Gods. But some of the characters do not quite look their age, as some of them look too young to be that old.
So, here’s a list of the oldest Genshin Impact characters, ranked from lowest to highest below (keep in mind these are based on speculations as the info released by MiHoYo is very limited):
11Beidou
Beidou is the captain of a heavily armed fleet called The Crux. She sports a pirate look with an eye patch and speaks with an accent too. Her age is speculated to be in the range of 21-27 years old.
Being 21-27 years old makes her one of the oldest characters in the game but not that old when you compare her age to other characters so she gets the last place in this ranking.
10Lisa
Lisa is a powerful mage who’s recognised as Sumeru Academy’s most distinguished graduate in 200 years. She’s speculated to be 28-30 years old, which is not a lot in contrast to other characters.
She’s also the Librarian of the Knights of Favonius in Mondstadt but don’t let that fool you as she can be very powerful, being a high-tier student in the Sumeru Academia.
9Qiqi
Qiqi is a zombie who was killed when she was just a child but was resurrected by the Adepti in the form of a zombie. She’s said to be 100 years old.
She’s not a human, although she was before she was resurrected as a zombie. Entering the 100-year-old club makes her way older than the previous characters on the list.
8Yae Miko
Yae Miko, also known as Guuji Yae is the head shrine maiden of the Grand Narukumi Shrine in Inazuma. Through the events of the story, we can derive that she’s at least 500 years old.
She’s also one of the oldest characters who’s not an Adeptus or an Archon. The cutscenes, which date back five centuries, tell us that she’s at least 500 years old.
7Dainsleif
Dainsleif is a former knight captain of the Royal Guard of Khaenri’ah. Taking into account the destruction of Khaenri’ah, we can come to the conclusion that he’s at least over 500 years old, if not more.
After the destruction of Khaenri’ah, the Gods cursed him and the other Khaenri’ans, but unlike the others who were just transformed into the Abyss Order, he was cursed to roam Teyvat for all eternity.
6The Traveler
The Travelers are basically the playable character you can play with at the beginning of Genshin Impact. Their age is unknown, but it’s speculated to be at least over 500 years old.
The speculation arises from the assumption that the Travelers are older than Dainsleif and The Cataclysm. After all, they’re Gods that travel through worlds.
5Xiao
Xiao is the last surviving member of the Yakshas dispatched by Morax in order to subdue the demonic spirits that roamed Liyue. His age is speculated to be at least over 2000 years old.
He looks very young but being a full Adeptus, his history dates back 2000 years. He’s a force to be reckoned with, but the old age can be a burden on his shoulders sometimes.
4Raiden Shogun
Raiden Shogun, also called Ei, is the vessel of Beelzebul and the current Electron Archon of Inazuma. Details are fuzzy about her age, but since she was there during the Archon War, we can say she’s around 2000 years old.
While her age isn’t mentioned anywhere, we know her age is around the same as the other archons, a bit less than some of them, hence, her being 4th on the list.
3Venti
Venti is the mortal vessel of Barbados, the Anemo Archon, and one of the oldest characters in the game. Her estimated age is more than 2600 years old.
Venti participated in the Archon War, which took place 2000 years ago, and was one of the original seven Archons. He’s also the first Archon that the player meets in the game.
2Ganyu
Ganyu is a Qilin who was created over 3000 years ago. While her specific age is not known, she’s speculated to be over 3000 years old.
Ganyu has the appearance of a teenage woman but being a Qilin, she’s one of the oldest Genshin Impact characters and the oldest non-Archon character in the game.
1Zhongli
Zhongli is the oldest character in the game, his age is estimated to be around 6000 years old. Zhongli is also the strongest Archon in the game canonically.
He’s older than The Cataclysm, which is why he has knowledge of it that he cannot share with The Traveler. Despite not looking his age, Zhongli is the oldest Archon in the game who took part in the Archon War.
