The much-anticipated latest Mari Okada’s anime feature film, Alice to Tres no Maboroshi Kojo, has received the “final” trailer showcasing more of the characters from the movie and what they’ll be going through. The film will premiere on September 14, 2023.
The final trailer packs a lot of information in two minutes. It features the story of Masamune, who is stuck in a town with no exit, and the townspeople are forced to live the same lives every day.
Masamune hates his life until he meets a girl who cannot speak. He falls in love with her, and this upsets the balance of the world. What will happen to the town and these young lovers forms the crux of the story.
Okada is the writer and director of the film while also being credited for the original work. The film will star Junya Enoki as 14-year-old protagonist Masamune Kikuiri, while Reina Ueda will play the role of Mutsumi Sagami. Misaki Kuno will feature as the mysterious girl Itsumi.
Singer Miyuki Nakajima is performing the film’s theme song titled “Shin-on” (Heartbeat). This is the first time the veteran singer has performed a theme song for any anime or game.
The trailer includes exciting phrases like “splitting of the sky,” which builds our curiosity. MAPPA is making the anime, and the animation quality is what we expect.
This is one of the more intriguing anime film trailers from recent times and something worth watching over the weekend. Unfortunately, we will have to wait longer for the movie to be released outside Japan.
