Coming across Toutotsu ni Egypt Kami woke up my inner mythology enthusiast. Not only was it fun to watch, but it was also quite insightful as Egyptian gods have always been mysterious to me.
Now due to popular demand, the series has finally announced a season 2. The previous season’s finale hinted that Apep will come back and will bring even more trouble for the gods. Being the incarnation of literal evil, this much was expected of Apep.
We can expect to see more of the other gods as well in the upcoming season as season 1 mostly had Anubis, Thoth, and Medjed with cameos from other gods.
Toutotsu ni Egypt Kami (Oh, Suddenly Egyptian Gods) announced that a season 2 is in the works, and the franchise will reveal more details soon.

The anime’s season 1 was well-received as fans loved every aspect of the show. The season ended with a chaotic year-end banquet of the nonchalant gods.
Major credit for its popularity goes to the concept of humanizing the gods and, of course, to the adorable characters. The anime shows that the divine creatures also have pretty normal lives like an average human being.
Season 2 is highly anticipated and if the creators play their cards right then it can surpass everyone’s expectations. With Apep planning something mischievous and the other gods being carefree, it looks like a recipe for disaster.
The upcoming season might pick up from the beginning of a new year as season 1 ended with a year-end party of the gods.
It is funny as well and lowkey educational, which makes it the perfect anime for all ages.
