The girl who killed Mitsuya gets into Odokawa’s taxi with some evil intentions in mind. This can be either Odd Taxi’s odd and abrupt way of concluding the story or the setting of a sequel.

If the series ever returns to the anime silver screens, it won’t be portraying the animal world anymore since Odokawa has already recovered from his illness. So, we can expect a real-life mystery plot if it ever gets a Season 2.

2. Episode 14 Release Date

There’s no news for Episode 14 of Odd Taxi anime, but in case it gets one, it will part of its Season 2. However, there isn’t any confirmation from the franchise.

I. Exploring Odokawa’s Past

Episode 13 showed us every detail of Odokawa’s childhood, thereby explaining the mental disorder he is suffering from. He belonged to an unhappy family in which his father was cheating his mother with a mistress.

Mr. Hiroshi lived separately and used to return home on rare occasions that too completely drunk. Odokawa never got his mother’s love either as she hated him just for existing.

Two things he particularly liked were going on a drive and watching animals in a zoo. His mental disorder basically combined these two elements, thereby giving him the life of a taxi driver in a self-made fantasy world crowded with animals.

II. A Dead End

Coming to the ongoing chase, Yano is after Odokawa’s 100 million who is in turn chased by the police. The pursuit continued for a while, before Odokawa hitting the dead-end of an unfinished bridge and crashing into the river.

His life flashes before his eyes as he slowly drowns in the water. He remembers how his mother intentionally tried to kill the family through a suicidal attempt. Everything felt like a Deja-vu till Shirakawa arrives to save him.

He wakes up in an ambulance, where he realizes that the emotional impact has brought back his mental sanity. He is finally seeing humans as humans and not as animals, but he still feels a little shy while talking with women (which is completely natural).

Odokawa’s condition gradually improves over time, and he finally goes back to his normal life. He is no longer seeing animals everywhere but recognizes the uncanny similarity between the animal and the human faces.

III. The Murderer Shows Up

The post-credits scene revealed the real culprit who murdered Mitsuya. She was simply jealous of her for making it into the Mystery Kiss idol group, and she planned the murder in a way so that everyone suspects Rui.

To everyone’s surprise, the girl boards into Odokawa’s taxi once again despite knowing that he may recognize her. What are her true intentions? Why is she after Odokawa? We will find it out in a possible Season 2.
