The ‘One Piece’ YouTube channel unveiled a new trailer for the ‘Monsters: 103 Mercies Dragon Damnation’ anime. The trailer has revealed new cast members and a January 22, 2024 debut.
The trailer features Ryuuma, a young samurai, enjoying a meal. He declares that he will repay the debt of a kind meal that saved him from starvation.
The video then shifts its focus to Shirano, a first-class swordsman. Ryuma expresses his desire to fight against Shirano. The last shot of the video shows Ryuma fighting alone against a giant dragon.
The animation is beautiful, and the production company has captured Oda’s old art style.

‘Monsters’ is a one-shot story of Eiichiro Oda, and honestly, his older works are golden and deserve attention. It is impressive that Netflix has finally paid attention to this underrated work.
The director of Jujutsu Kaisen and Jujutsu Kaisen 0 is working on this project, which explains the incredible animation. It will be amazing to see how the series will turn out, primarily since it will focus on the backstory of Ryuma.

‘Monsters: 103 Mercies Dragon Damnation’ (MONSTERS: Ippaku Sanjō Hiryū Jigoku) is a Japanese one-shot manga written and illustrated by Eiichiro Oda. Shueisha published it in the Autumn Special issue of Weekly Shōnen Jump in 1994.
An original net animation (ONA) adaptation by E&H Production is set to premiere on Netflix in January 2024. The story depicts the past of the legendary samurai Ryuma, who also appeared in the Thriller Bark arc of ‘One Piece.’
