People have been slightly relieved ever since the COVID-19 vaccines came into the picture. It has made things much easier as last year’s canceled events can finally take place.
Still, a major chunk of the population is still not vaccinated and poses a threat to others. Not to sound very lecture-y here, but vaccination doesn’t mean that you’re entirely immune to the virus.
It just prevents the virus from becoming severe or fatal. Considering the people who are not eligible for the vaccine or are opposing it, we still have a long way to go.
But don’t worry, your favorite anime events and conventions will still take place, only if you strictly follow some of the protocols. The anime event I am talking about here is the most awaited, Anime NYC.
As New York City announced the protocols to be followed, Anime NYC released a statement regarding the news.
The mayor of New York City, Bill de Blasio, announced that people will now be required to show proof of COVID-19 vaccination to go into indoor events, dining areas, and gyms.
With the fear of the disease still lingering, this step was necessary for closed and indoor spaces. Moreover, the upcoming event that will take place this year stated that they aspire for a safe and healthy event.
The anime event will take place between November 19th – 21st, and is working closely with the NYC Government and State Officials to ensure a safe time for the people.
The event was canceled last year due to the ongoing pandemic but is now up and running full force while taking precautions.
The tickets are already out, and the event will reveal the specific COVID-19 related protocols soon.
I know you’re excited about it, but please remember to follow the precautions for a safer experience.
