You can expect NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 4090 reviews to be published soon as the Ada Lovelace architecture-based GPU is now available to the press. It is unclear how fast the RTX 4090 is compared to the RTX 3090 Ti in normal synthetic tests, as NVIDIA has not released any gaming benchmark involving DLSS technology. However, somebody went ahead and did it anyway.
A Geekbench CUDA benchmark report for the RTX 4090 showed the GPU scored 424332 points.
The RTX 4090 was tested on the AMD Ryzen 9 7950X featuring X670E platform and 32GB of DDR5-6000 memory. The test results just show how well-designed the Lovelace GPU is.
The RTX 4090 is 60% faster than the RTX 3090 Ti variant and 77.5% more than RTX 3090. The RTX 3090 Ti scored 260346, while the RTX 3090 base model achieved a score of 235225 points.
Here are the specs for the RTX 4090:
CUDA Cores | 16384 |
Architecture | Ada Lovelace |
Boost Clock | 2.52 |
Base Clock | 2.23 |
Memory | GDDR6X |
Memory Size | 24 GB |
Memory Bus | 384-bit |
TGP | 450W |
NVIDIA is scheduled to launch the RTX 4090 GPU on October 12th.
