NVIDIA is gearing up for the launch of its GeForce RTX 40-series GPUs. The ADA Lovelace graphic cards are expected to launch by the end of this year and will bring a new era of high-performance gain on PCs & deliver advanced new features that will take gaming to the next level.
The GPUs hadn’t seen much official public presence as of yet, mostly appearing in leaks and rumors. However, it seems like NVIDIA is going to present them pretty soon officially.
NVIDIA has kicked off “Project Beyond”, a marketing campaign for its upcoming GeForce RTX 40-series GPUs. Most NVIDIA GeForce social media accounts have released a teaser video, hinting that an official announcement for the GPUs is coming soon.
The official NVIDIA social media handles of the US, Brazil, Japan, and more have released the teaser on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, etc., indicating that the campaign is indeed on a global scale.
Furthermore, the “GeForce Beyond” Livestream will be broadcasted on 20th September at 8 AM Pacific Time, where the GPUs are expected to be announced by NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang.
He already confirmed that we will hear more about the next-generation gaming GPU architecture by next month at GTC 2022. NVIDIA GTC 2022 will take place on 19th September and last till 22nd September, while the CEO keynote is expected to take place on 20th September.
RTX 4090, RTX 4080, and RTX 4070 will definitely be three of the GPUs to be announced at the event, as they will be the ones to launch first. These three graphic cards, in particular, also have been the subject of many leaks in the last few months, and we might officially get some idea about them during GTC.
The RTX 4090 is the flagship GPU from the RTX 40 range; it would feature 16384 cores and 128 Streaming Multiprocessors. The expected TDP is 450W, and the graphics card would feature 24 GB GDDR6X memory with a 21 Gbps clock speed. With 96 MB of L2 cache, a boost clock of ~2600 MHz is expected.
The RTX 4080 will feature the AD103 GPU and an estimated 9728 CUDA cores. It will feature 16 GB of GDDR6X memory on a 256-bit memory bus with a speed of 23Gbps. The RTX 4080 has a TDP of approximately 340W. A base clock of 2205 MHz and a Boost clock of 2505 MHz are expected.
The RTX 4070 is supposedly based on full AD104 GPU (AD104-400) with 7680 FP32 (CUDA) cores. This model supposedly features 12GB of GDDR6X memory across a 192-bit bus and 21 Gbps modules, resulting in a maximum bandwidth of 504 GB/s.
The base clock is 2310 MHz, and the boost clock is rated at 2610 MHz. TDP is expected to be 285W. Moreover, another cut-down version of this GPU is also planned for semi-custom designs.
The event itself will be live-streamed, and a link would be available close to the unveil or on the day of the unveiling itself, so stay tuned for more info. This will definitely not be a launch event for the next-generation GeForce RTX 40 series lineup, but more so an announcement/unveil.
