According to sources, the upcoming NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 Ti will be priced below $500, making it the cheapest RTX 40 series desktop GPU to be released ever.
Popular leaker @kopite7kimi revealed that the GeForce RTX 4060 Ti will be similar to the RTX 3070 in terms of overall performance.
At launch, the RTX 3070 had an MSRP of $499, but the card usually retails for more than that. Compared to that, the RTX 4060 Ti will offer similar performance at less than 3/4th of the power.
Almost every SKU in this generation has had a price increase. Somehow, NVIDIA seems to think that this is justified given what their GPUs offer. Nevertheless, Ada Lovelace architecture-based processors are becoming increasingly popular with computer enthusiasts.
The RTX 4060 Ti is paired with the AD106 GPU with a 128-bit memory bus. It is unusual to see a graphics card with such specs to feature a narrow bus.
Earlier rumors stated that the RTX 4060 Ti would have a TGP of 220W. However, this was later changed. The graphics card has a very efficient design which means it won’t consume too much power.
NVIDIA is expected to launch the RTX 4060 Ti latest by Q1. It will be interesting to see what it offers when the card is finally announced.
