NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 4060 series is set to launch this month, and the company has seemingly updated the embargo information for the release of the GPU series.
The embargo schedule was passed on to board partners which revealed that both the RTX 4060 and the Ti variant have no release dates. But the release schedule for the Ti variant was confirmed through the document.
NVIDIA’s updated embargo schedule for the board partners revealed that GeForce RTX 4060 Ti is set to hit retail shelves by the end of May. The document leaked by VideoCardz only revealed the release schedule for the Ti variant as the standard RTX 4060 is listed as “TBD”.
The standard RTX 4060 being listed as “TBD” implies that it may or may not launch this month, but the release shouldn’t be very far from the Ti variant’s launch. Hopefully, the release schedule for the standard variant will be revealed soon enough.
Price is also something that hasn’t been revealed for any of the RTX 4060 series cards as of now. The price of the cards is expected to be set between $399-499.
Interestingly, the RTX 4060 Ti will use the same board number as the RTX 3060 Ti, which is PG190. This is very uncommon for next-generation cards, but this could likely lead to the card being cheaper. On the other hand, the standard RTX 4060 will use a completely new board.
- NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 Ti: PG190 SKU 361
- NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060: PG173 SKU 371
It’s good to finally receive some sort of information regarding the release of the RTX 4060 GPUs. Hopefully, the specific release dates for both cards will be revealed soon too.
