NVIDIA’s RTX 4060, which features 8GB of memory, was initially rumored to be launched in the first half of July. The RTX 4060 Ti variant with 16GB memory would have been launched next. However, it looks like there has been a change of plans.
According to a leaked embargo detail, the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 non-Ti variant is scheduled to be launched on June 29th. The new SKUs will be shipped to board partners, OEMs and integrators from June 12th.
The document confirms that NVIDIA will continue to divide the review embargo for MSRP and non-MSRP cards. Here are the key events censored from the document:
- June 9th: AIC Press & Influencers Seeding List Submission
- June 12th: Ship to Channel/NDA Channel Embargo
- June 21st: AIC Press & Influencer Seeding
- June 28th: MSRP models reviews
- June 29th: non-MSRP model reviews & On-Shelf (launch)
The GeForce RTX 4060 Ti 16GB is also mentioned in the document. Although the card does not have a release date yet, it is scheduled to launch in July.
The RTX 4060 non-Ti is paired with the AD107-300 GPU and features 3072 CUDA cores. The card will have 8GB of GDDR6 memory across a 128-bit interface. It will have slower memory modules (17Gbps) as compared to the Ti variant (18 Gbps).
The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 will be priced at $299. Now that there’s a rumored release date, it will only be a while before NVIDIA officially announces it. However, it will be wise to wait for the final announcement given that product launches are always prone to last-minute changes.
