Do you ever aim for something with your whole heart and get diverted into a completely different field? The upcoming anime ‘Noumin Kanren’ has a similar philosophy. It starts out as a farming series and soon diverts into combat.
Al Wayne, the protagonist, goes from farming king to action king. How can a farmer fight? With super-powered skills and lethal vegetables, any blow can be deadly.
‘Noumin Kanren’, short for ‘I’ve Somehow Gotten Stronger When I Improved My Farm-Related Skills’ is an upcoming anime that will be released on October 1, 2022.
You will find out just how Al can fight with his farming skills in this new trailer:
The video shows Al’s peaceful life in the beginning, but soon he gets attacked by powerful enemies and orcs. He manages to protect himself, but for how long can he fight with radishes?
That’s exactly when he gets offered to become an adventurer. Although he wants to stay loyal to his garden, his determination falters soon as he goes after a completely new way of living.
Both the opening and ending theme songs have also been previewed in the trailer. “Growing up” by 7ORDER is the opening theme, while “Rolling Soul Happy Days” by Pop Never Dies is the ending theme song.
The cast members behind the main characters have been revealed:

If you are searching for a calm slice-of-life anime, then ‘Noumin Kanren’ isn’t the best option for you. It has a deceptively simple beginning that soon boils down to the plot for a mainstream anime with an OP protagonist with his own harem.
Let’s see if the series’ neverending original name helps it survive in the incredibly tough anime market.
