On Thursday, August 13th, Noblesse’s official Twitter account announced the October debut of the anime adaptation of the Manhwa.
This time, it’s going to be a thorough adaptation of the entire series, unlike the previous ones, which were mainly OVAs. The anime will be released as a Crunchyroll Original.
Now-a-days, the world is witnessing a new trend of webtoons being adapted into anime.
After two major works, Tower of God and The God of High School, another webtoon is reported for an anime adaptation – Noblesse. Crunchyroll has taken on the initiative to adapt manhwas into anime.
But both Tower of God and The God of High School struggled with pacing as they are leaving aside main plots and details to deliver as much content as possible in one episode and the Webtoon fans are clearly not happy about it.
So, there remains a slight possibility for Nobelesse to receive the same treatment as well. Noblesse, without any doubt, is among the best webtoons ever released.
Since it was released in 2007, the decade-long Manhwa’s humor and intriguing central characters kept us hooked.
Although the January 2019 conclusion disheartened a lot of us, especially after Rai and Raskreia’s death, we are still left at the end of our seats after the announcement of the anime series as the trailer released by Crunchyroll shows the amazing character expressions and the variety of graphics-basically the points because of which the Manhwa got us under its spell in the first place.
The anime television series by Production I.G is set to premiere in October 2020. Crunchyroll is hoping to hit gold again with this supernatural story that dominated the webtoons for almost a decade.
The release date and other details will unfold as time goes on. Till then, let’s rewind the fantastic journey we have had with Noblesse so far.
About Noblesse
This series, released in 2007, is by Son Jeho and illustrator Lee Kwangsi. The story is about a nobleman named Cadis Etrama Di Raizel. One day, shockingly, he wakes up over 800 years in the future.
Reunited with his companion Frankenstein, Rai enrolls in a local high school and makes friends with a group who vow to help Rai uncover his forgotten past.
This announcement is exciting for South Koreans. South Korea has produced dozens of world-famous manhwa titles, but they never get an anime adaptation.
Now, fans will have to wait and see how these manhwa titles shape up in anime form and whether they’ll spark a trend of manhwa-turned-anime adaptations.
