New PV for Sacrificial Princess Anime Reveals Opening Song, Debut Date!

The tale of Sariphi and Leonhart’s budding love, smeared with thrill and melancholy, will soon unfold itself when the ‘Sacrificial Princess and the King of Beasts’ arrives next month.

The first two promos depicted a fairy tale romance in a kingdom of beasts. However, they also showed the two characters’ relationships with others, something that was vital for at least Sariphi, who was unfamiliar with Ozmargo.

On Wednesday, the official website for the anime series released a third promotional video. This video reveals the exact premiere date and previews the opening song, “Saku no Nie” (Sacrifice During the New Moon), performed by BIN.

The third promo continues to feature the main characters and how they intend to protect each other. It also shows a new side of Sariphi as she tries to protect Lanteveldt. A few new characters also make their first appearance, including Fenrir, Gleipnir, Tetra, Joz, and Galois.

Sacrificial Princess and the King of Beasts will debut on April 19 on Tokyo MX and BS11 in Japan. Crunchyroll will simulcast the series.

Kana Hanazawa and Satoshi Hino will voice the two protagonists. J.C. Staff is handling the production with Chiaki Kon as the director. Seishi Minakami is writing the scripts, and Shinya Hasegawa designs the characters.

The opening song brings out many emotions, which fits well with the different kinds of interactions. It also adds a modern classical element to it. Overall, the anime looks like a nice take on a popular story we know.
