Amazon Is Currently Investigating New World Invincibility Glitch

Despite its popularity and high ranking on the Steam sales charts, New World has its fair share of problems it needs to deal with. Most recently, players have reported an invincibility glitch being used to make fort raids practically unwinnable.

We reported on this glitch a couple of days ago, and it allows players to remain invincible while online, as long as they stay immobile. While this doesn’t sound ideal, an invincible player placed in a capture point during war would mean the fight is futile. Thankfully, Amazon has stated that they are already investigating the issue.

Activating this glitch is very simple. All you need to do is play the game in windowed mode and then click and hold on the window. While the player does this, their character is placed into a form of stasis.

They can’t move or attack, but they can’t be damaged either. In fact, if this is done when the character is jumping or in free fall, the avatar will hover frozen in mid-air until the player finally lets go of the window.

No one is going to hold onto a window forever, but they don’t even need to. They just need to hold it for as long as it takes to capture a point in New World’s PvP game mode.

Amazon’s community manager has now confirmed that “the team is aware and investigating” and has suggested players report users who are found using this glitch. Amazon has not issued a timeline for a fix but has stated it is a “top priority” for the dev team.

Keeping that in mind, those currently invested in New World and blazing through the game may want to think of slowing their pace. Reports have been emerging that New World’s endgame content is hopelessly bugged.

This isn’t an issue many people are talking about because New World is a relatively new game, and not many players have reached that far yet. We’re expecting this issue and the invincibility glitch to be addressed in upcoming patches.
