Ciri’s Training Hardcore to be Witcher in New Season 2 Clip

A new promo clip for The Witcher Season 2 portrays Ciri’s unwavering determination during a hardcore training session.

Now that Ciri and Geralt are reunited, the witcher thinks it is wisest (and safest) to take her to Kaer Morhen. Of course, the journey will not be without dangers, as we’re set to explore Nivellen’s story in the first episode.

Once they have crossed this path, Geralt will meet his fellow witchers and mentor Vesemir after a long, long time. Now I’m sure most of them will be happy to see Geralt, but with the Continent in raging chaos, they will be cautious about his arrival.

We do know that they will take the two in, along with assisting Geralt in training Ciri witcher-style. One of these training sessions, titled “Ciri and The Pendulum,” has been released.

Ciri is in session with Lambert and Coen, who are few of the witchers who will foster her growth this season. However, they’re not going to make this easy on her as we know that training to be a witcher is no joke — they have to make themselves incredibly strong, agile, and quick to react.

(Of course, some of their enhancement potions help with the same).

Ciri is on a mechanism that swings massive wooden logs from one side to another like pendulums. She has to make it to the end unscathed. But she gets knocked down in all her attempts, prompting Lambert and Coen to tell her to end the day’s training.

Ciri is not one to give up. After a few more goes, she finally crosses through without falling off. Hurrah! It’s a small victory, but even the witchers overseeing her training share a smirk.

There are a lot of exciting elements in store for The Witcher Season 2: Geralt and Ciri’s new dynamics with the other witchers at Kaer Morhen, Fringilla being forced to team up with Yen, Francesca and the Elves fighting back, amongst others.

I can’t wait to see how it all goes down this Friday, December 17!
