New images from Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey reveal a young Christopher Robin, teasing a flashback to when Pooh and Piglet were still innocent.
The 2023 slasher will release in February under the direction of Rhys Waterfield with a wicked new take on A.A. Milne’s book characters. The horror flick will see how Pooh and Piglet turn feral, after Christopher Robin abandons them for college, and plague the woods, killing innocents and devouring their victims.
The film’s first images and trailer dropped earlier this year, revealing the gruesome and gory new look of our favorite childhood characters. You can view the trailer below:
The new images highlight the killer aesthetic Winnie and Piglet will be flaunting in the movie while moving through the woods and torturing their former owner. But among the new photos released by IGN, we get our first look of young Christopher Robin!
The images tease a flashback from Pooh and Piglet’s point of view featuring a nostalgic time when their owner reciprocated their love.
The film’s successful marketing campaign allowed it to shoot to the top levels of popularity, securing a short theatrical window in February 2023. The new images kick the excitement up a notch, and audiences eagerly await the film to hit theaters in a few months.
