Nick Fury And Black Widow’s Fates To Change In What If…? Episode 3

The third episode of Marvel’s animated anthology series, What If…?, drops on Disney+ this Wednesday, and Marvel has released two new posters teasing Nick Fury and Black Widow’s return.

What If…? explores different alternate MCU realities, with the first episode focusing on Peggy Carter as Captain Carter and the second one has T’Challa as Star-Lord. Not much is known about the upcoming episode, but as the posters suggest, it would feature Fury and Natasha Romanoff too.

The official What If…? account on Twitter posted the two new posters. Be on the lookout for changed usernames for official Marvel movie accounts as the same strategy was used for the first two episodes.

Samuel L. Jackson has returned to voice Fury for What If…? but Scarlett Johansson isn’t returning to voice for Black Widow.

From the main trailer, fans have already gathered that one of the episodes will feature zombies, whereas another will see Iron Man team up with Erik Killmonger. With a total of 9 episodes planned for Season 1, What If…? is going to flip the MCU realities as we know them.

One of the two storylines from What If…? trailers this episode could follow is one where Natasha Romanoff never left the Red Room to work for SHIELD. The second being that the Marvel heroes are all dead and risen again as Zombies. Or maybe both of these stories combined!

What If…? streams new episodes every Wednesday on Disney+.

About What If…?

What If…? is an American animated anthology series created by A.C. Bradley for the streaming service Disney+, based on the Marvel Comics series of the same name.

It explores what would happen if major moments from the films of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) occurred differently.

The series is produced by Marvel Studios, their first animated series since becoming their own production company. Bradley serves as head writer of the series, with Bryan Andrews directing.

Jeffrey Wright stars as the Watcher, who narrates the series. By September 2018, Marvel Studios was developing a number of series for Disney+, and one based on the What If…? comic was first reported in March 2019.
