Netflix’s The Imperfects Trailer Promises to be a “Coming of Rage” Story

Just a week before its release, Netflix has released a new trailer for their upcoming coming-of-age, science fiction series, The Imperfects.

The series follows three young adults, Abbi, Juan, and Tilda, who hunt down an eccentric scientist, Dr. Alex Sarkov. Sarkov conducted gene therapy experiments on various subjects, causing them to develop major side effects that turned them into monsters.

The trio, who were also victims of Sarkov’s experiments, now want to hunt down Dr. Sarkov to force him to turn them back into humans again.

Promoted as a “coming of rage” story, the series stars Italia Ricci, Morgan Taylor Campbell, Rhianna Jagpal, Iñaki Godoy, Rhys Nicholson, Kyra Zagorsky, Celina Martin, and Jedidiah Goodacre.

With only a week left before its release, Netflix has released a new trailer for the upcoming series. Check out the trailer below.

The trailer features Abbi, Juan, and Tilda as they team up to bring down Dr. Sarkov and reverse the side effects of his experiments. The three also deal with their own issues, friendships, and relationships along the way. Together, they call themselves “The Imperfects”.

A supernatural series with a young adult twist has not done well on Netflix before, considering Resident Evil, a series with a similar theme, was canceled after the first season. So, The Imperfects has a big challenge to face. Hopefully, it proves to be different.

The Imperfects will premiere on Netflix on September 8, 2022.

The Imperfects is an upcoming American science fiction streaming television series created by Dennis Heaton and Shelley Eriksen that is set to premiere on Netflix on September 8, 2022. 

Promoted as a “coming of rage” story (a pun on coming-of-age story), it follows three young adults, Abbi, Juan, and Tilda, who are turned into monsters after undergoing an experimental gene therapy. The trio subsequently decides to hunt down the scientist responsible for their transformation, Dr. Alex Sarkov, and force him to make them human again. They are joined by Dr. Sydney Burke, a scientist who assists them in their quest.
