Right after the second season ended, the series is back with an announcement of the new installment.

The Jump Festa ’24 event announced the second season of the ‘Rurouni Kenshin’ remake as it will continue into the “Kyoto Arc” starting in 2024.

The brief promotional video focuses on the Kyoto Riot arc. It is renowned as one of the three significant arcs in Rurouni Kenshin and will be the focal point of Season 2.

The video portrays Kenshin Himura’s journey to stop Shishio’s ambitions of toppling the Meiji government to establish a new Japan, where survival hinges solely on strength.

The event has primarily focused on the magnificence of its initial seasons and then unveiled new visuals and designs for crucial characters, Shishio Makoto and Seta Soujiro.

About Rurouni Kenshin

It is a Japanese manga series penned and illustrated by Nobuhiro Watsuki. It was serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine from 1994 to 1999. A TV anime adaptation was also broadcast to 1996 to 1998, and it even has an anime film along with numerous video projects.

The English manga version was published by Viz Media, and the English anime version was released by Media Blasters.

The story revolves around a former assassin who, after going against the feudal government, changed his name to Himura Kenshin and changed into a wandering swordsman who protects the people of Japan. He made a vow to never take another life.
