The Reincarnation of the Strongest Exorcist In Another World is the latest addition to the isekai anime world. It checks out all the boxes of a typical isekai and is the perfect series to binge for those who love the genre.
Its protagonist, Seika Lamprogue, is the reincarnation of a powerful exorcist, Kuga no Haruyoshi. After being betrayed by his friends and on the doors of death, Haruyoshi wishes to be happy in his next life.
‘Saikyo Onmyoji no Isekai Tenseiki’ anime’s latest promo video previews Seika’s past life as Haruyoshi and what led to his demise. It also reveals the show’s theme songs and artists.
The opening theme song, ‘Reconnection,’ is performed by the band angela. Cast members Azumi Waki, Nene Hieda, and Akari Kito will do the ending score, ‘Link.’
The video begins with demons wreaking havoc and Haruyoshi saving people with his last remaining strength. While on the verge of death, Haruyoshi prays to be happy in his next life as he performs a reincarnation spell and is reborn as Seika.
Since Seika’s memories from his past life as Haruyoshi are still intact, he realizes that magic in this new world is far inferior to onmyo arts. Seika declares he doesn’t need magic and begins his easy life with many yokai and some eccentric friends following him.
Moreover, the trailer also reveals that Kaede Hondo has been cast in the role of Fiona Urd Alegreif, the princess of the Urdweit Empire. Kaede has previously voiced Kokoro Yotsuba in Kami-sama Minarai and Elisabetta Iks in Welcome to Demon School, Iruma-kun.
As the anime’s official website states, Fiona is called the ‘Holy Princess’ due to her royal blood and status as the priestess. She is also one of Seika’s friends and allies who will accompany him on his adventurous journey.

Saikyō Onmyōji no Isekai Tenseiki (A Record of the Strongest Onmyōji’s Reincarnation to Another World) is a light novel series written by Kiichi Kosuzu. It began serialization in December 2018 on the user-generated novel publishing website Shōsetsuka ni Narō.
It follows a powerful diviner Haruyoshi who casts a reincarnation spell before dying, and is reborn in another world without magical powers. He realizes that the magic here is weaker than what he had and continues to use his old exorcist tricks.
The anime adaptation is set to come out on January 7, 2023.
