The friendly-neighborhood superhero has two sides – a fun and a serious one – both of which are perfectly captured in the new images of Spider-Man: No Way Home.
The Empire Magazine released news photos of the upcoming movie, and it gives fans some interesting insights.
In an interview with the Empire, No Way Home director Jon Watts called the movie as ambitious as “Spider-Man: Endgame” as things are about to get messy with multiple villains and rumored multiple web-slinging fellow heroes too.
The two images released by Empire show Tom Holland’s contrasting personalities – the awkward, funny young adult and the ‘I-am-a-boss’ adult. Holland’s portrayal of a young, modern Spidey is one of the many things that fans fell in love with.
The first image of the teaser shows him in his Iron-Spider-Man outfit running away from Doctor Octopus, creating a stir and thrashing cars behind. (Anyone who says Doctor Ock didn’t give them nightmares back in 2004, coming in their dreams in the same way as the image, is lying.)
The second image gives a closer look at Peter Parker in his previous Spider-Man suit. He might be in the middle of the fight as he poses in his signature posture with sharp, intense eyes glaring at the person in front of him.
In the same interview, Holland also shared how he thought the idea being pitched would have been challenging to pull off. But Marvel being Marvel, did, and he called it “crazy.”
When I was first pitched the idea, I was like, ‘Wow, that would be awesome if we could pull it off.’ ‘But there’s just no way it’s going to work. You’re just not going to be able to get everyone to do what they need to do. It’s just not going to happen.’ But it did happen. And it’s crazy.”

Meanwhile, Spider-Man: No Way Home will see Peter struggling to live the best of both worlds as his identity is now revealed to the world. Doctor Strange comes to help, but things go wrong, and the multiverse gets open, with old foes coming back in.
The movie will be released on December 17, 2021.
