Shaman King is set in a world which is very similar to Pokemon or The God Of Highschool. It is a tournament based anime/manga in short. This tournament-based plot gives Shaman King its whole structure.
Set in a world where Gods, ghosts and spirits are a reality, one powerful being will rule upon everyone else. The Shaman King emerges from the tournament and gets the chance to reshape the world according to his wishes.
The official website of the New Shaman King anime announced that the anime will be released in April 2021 on TV Tokyo.
All the volumes of the original manga will be adapted into the anime.
A new trailer for the upcoming anime has also been released.
The trailer shows the start of a deadly battle between Asakura Yoh, our protagonist, and Asakura Hao, the main antagonist.
Yoh summons the Futunomitama no Turugi to aid him in the battle against the fiery power of Hao. Will he be able to defeat the reigning Shaman King?
A new visual for the anime has also been revealed.
The visual portrays Asakura Yoh wearing his trademark headphones and necklace. In his hands, he is holding the Harusame or the Sword of Light.

About Shaman King
Shaman King is a manga written and illustrated by Hiroyuki Takei. It began serialization in Weekly Shonen Jump from June 30, 1998.
The series received an abrupt end on August 30, 2004, leaving fans disappointed.
The manga received a reprint in 2009 to give its fans the true ending to the series. It also received an adaptation by studio Xebec in 2001 that was directed by Seiji Mizushima.
It introduces us to a world of shamans. These Shamans are powerful beings who can see and communicate with spirits, ghosts, and gods.
Once in 500 years, a prestigious tournament called The Shaman Fight is organized, and the winner gets to shape the world in his image with the aid of the great spirits.
The story revolves around Manta Oyamada, who has a chance encounter with You Asakura that completely changes his life.
Asakura aims to become the Shaman King, aided by Manta and his 600-year-old samurai friend Amidamaru. They set out to fulfill You’s dream.
