The Double Seven arc covers volumes 12 to 14 of the light novel series. It focuses on Tatsuya and Miyuki’s second year at First High School, where they encounter a new student named Takumi Shippou, who has a grudge against them, and the Saegusa twins, Kasumi and Izumi.
The arc also involves the conflict between the Saegusa clan and Gongjin Zhou, who wants to undermine Japanese magicians and their influence.
Season 3 might also explore the relationship between Tatsuya and Miyuki, who are siblings but engaged to each other due to the Yotsuba clan’s tradition.

About The Irregular at Magic High School
The Irregular at Magic High School is based on a web novel series by Tsutomu Sato, published on an internet web novel website between 2008 and 2011.
The series is set in a world with an alternate history, where magic exists and has been polished through modern technology. However, the ability to use magic is determined by genetics, limiting the number of magicians in existence.
The story follows Tatsuya Shiba, a bodyguard to his sister Miyuki Shiba who is also a candidate to succeed in the leadership of the Yotsuba clan, one of the Ten Master Clans that govern Japan’s magicians.
They enroll into First High School which segregates its students based on their magical abilities. Miyuki is enrolled as a first course student and is viewed as one of the best students, while Tatsuya is in the second course and considered to be magically inept.
