Recently, this manga received an anime adaptation, the promos for which are mesmerizing and take you to a whole other world. This has made us question how the animators do it, and the staff has given us the answer.
The staff for the Gold Kingdom and Water Kingdom anime has revealed a behind-the-scenes video that shows how the film is being made. It takes us to the studio to show how the characters are created and brought to life.
This 5-minute video begins with a trailer and then shows the studio where the film is being made. It features the director Kotono Watanabe, the character designer and chief animation director Mizuka Takahashi, and the art director Tomoyuki Shimizu.
All three of them are carefully explaining each and every process and the work that goes into making one single scene. This video is guaranteed to make you appreciate your favorite anime even more.
In addition to the behind-the-scenes clips, the franchise has also revealed two character videos for the protagonists Naranbayar and Sara.
First, we have the character promo video for Water Kingdom’s Naranbayar, the smartest young man in the land. Naranbayar’s daily activities consisted of being buried in books until the day when he married Sara.
He also has a cheerful and lively personality and gets along with kids and elders alike. Naranbayar is also shown to be very helpful and solves people’s problems with his witty brain.
The second character video highlights Sara, the daughter of the king of the Gold Kingdom. Since she’s an illegitimate child, Sara has always been humble and tolerates all the taunts that come her way, mostly from her sisters.
However, her life turns around when she encounters Naranbayar, and the two decide to get married to protect the peace between the nations. What she didn’t know was that fate had other plans and that the two would grow to love each other over time.
The film has been slated to open in Japan on January 27, 2023, and I hope you all have booked your seats already.

Gold Kingdom and Water Kingdom is a romance fantasy manga written by Nao Iwamoto. The manga was launched in 2014.
The plot revolves around two kingdoms that have been rivals for several years. One day, the princess Sara from one of the kingdoms and a young man Naranbayar from the other kingdom decide to pretend to be a couple to maintain peace in the kingdoms.
However, over the course of their jounrey, the two eventually fall in love with each other.
