We have had several stories of humans fighting demons and the aftermath of defeating the evil leader. In most of them, the hero returns from retirement, a new hero rises, or even something uncanny happens like in ‘The Legendary Hero is Dead’.
‘Helck’ takes it a step further as it shows a human hero who hates his own race. He is also the brother of the one who vanquished the Demon Lord. Labeled a criminal in his hometown, he wants to become the next Demon Lord.
On Friday, the official website for the anime ‘Helck’ released the main trailer. The video features the opening song for the first cours. Additionally, two new cast members were also revealed. ‘Helck’ will premiere on July 11 for two continuous cours, with HIDIVE streaming worldwide.
This trailer is the extension of the earlier-released teaser as it begins with a demon being defeated. A tournament happens in the demon realm where Helck welcomes the crowd and defeats his opponents without breaking a sweat. You also catch a glimpse of Azudora, Piwi, Hyura, and Witch.
The opening song for the series “It’s My Soul” is played in the background. It is performed by Hiroki Nanami. saji performs the ending song “Statice”.
Two new cast members were introduced by the official website and are listed below:
Character | Voice Artist | Other Works |
Narrator | Shūichi Ikeda | Char Aznable (Mobile Suit Gundam) |
Witch | Yukana | Teletha “Tessa” Testarossa (Full Metal Panic!) |
The staff members were previously announced. Here are the main members working on the series:

Fans loved the ‘Helck’ manga by Nanaki Nanao, so it is safe to say that it is one of the most awaited anime this summer. I am looking forward to it myself, and two continuous cours will only make it better if it turns out to be as good as the manga.
