Alfie Solomons’ Final Act Is Written Out For Peaky Blinders Season 6

Alfie Solomons’ return to Peaky Blinders Season 6 has been confirmed via a new teaser. More of Tom Hardy on my screen? Yes, please!

Granted that Tommy was addressing Alfie while saying, “I think I may have written your last act,” but it is a little on the nose with this being the show’s last season.

Plus, Alfie is beyond a fan favorite, and his popularity ensured he was previously “resurrected” for Season 5. His inclusion in Season 6 just adds to the show going out, all guns blazing.

BBC1 originally posted the teaser, which is inaccessible to us who are off the island. You can watch the clip reposted by an Instagram user:

Tommy does pride himself over orchestrating elaborate schemes, so it’s a delight to anticipate what part Alfie will play. From the dialogue, it seems as though Tommy is planning to dispose of Alfie. But I doubt his plans are ever that simple.

Fans are also speculating whether Alfie was being truthful about having cancer. While some say it was simply to save his skin, others believe it might be an element in his “final act.”

Besides Alfie, fans can eagerly look forward to the fate of the Peaky Blinders – much of which is kept under wraps.

Tommy Shelby

The show has seen Tommy’s rise from a gangster leader to attempting to control the socio-economic workings of the different regions. A previous teaser has also revealed that Tommy will go back to his roots in Birmingham in Season 6.

As unpredictable as the show is known to be, we can stay thankful that the Peaky Blinders swansong will be a feature film and not Season 6.

So far, the show has opted to drop small teasers instead of a full-length trailer. If Peaky Blinders is really going to air sometime in Jan-Feb 2022, we need more than a 10-second promo clip, mate!

About Peaky Blinders

Peaky Blinders is a British period crime drama television series created by Steven Knight. Set in Birmingham, England, the series follows the exploits of the Shelby crime family and their leader Thomas Shelby (Cillian Murphy) in the direct aftermath of the First World War.

The fictional family is loosely based on a real urban youth gang of the same name, active in the city from the 1890s to the early 20th century. It stars Cillian Murphy, Sam Claflin, Aidan Gillen, Helen McCrory, Paul Anderson, Finn Cole, and Tom Hardy

Netflix, under a deal with Weinstein Company and Endemol, acquired the rights to release the show in the United States and around the world. In January 2021, it was announced that the sixth series would be the last, followed by a spin-off film. The final series was broadcast in 2022.
