As revealed on Reddit, Star Wars: Squadrons is set to receive a patch that will look into the problematic frame rates on the VR platform. As it stands, VR sets are very exorbitant, thus enthusiasts would obviously want a great value for their money.
As a game, Star Wars: Squadrons received both positive and negative feedback. There is so denying the fact that the game was nothing short of sensational; it knew how to make your heart pound thanks to an exciting story.
The action mechanics were amazing and the multiplayer element was even better. It also doesn’t hurt to spend $39.99 dollars at a time where $60 is the bare minimum.
The problem that arose with Star Wars: Squadrons was bugs related. It was flowing with issues. As a result, at higher refresh rates there was a worry of screen tear. It’s never fun to play a game that keeps on hanging and lagging.
As players were left heartbroken, developers took the matter into their own hands. On October 28, the team disclosed on Reddit that a new PC patch has been rolled out. This will make the gaming experience more polished and smooth.
Most of the time what happens is the patch doesn’t address the issue deeply. A few tweaks here and there is all the enthusiasts get. With this game, there was an all different scenario.
The patch turned out to be very effective. The VR experience is now completely revamped. There is no drop in the frame rates hence gamers are able to play at 60fps or higher.
It must also be noted that this new update is no messiah if you love the game. There are many other issues that have to be worked on.
Nonadjustable motion blur and skyboxes still remain an issue. Moreover, your system must pack all high-end specs if the game is to run steadily or else it crashes.
Therefore, there is a lot to work on but such updates give you an assurance that issues will get resolved sooner or later. You can read more about the update here.
