NVIDIA 3080 Ti 12GB and 3070 Ti 16GB Rumored for January 2022 Release

PC gamers are still going through a rough time, as new components and parts are still hard to come by in the market. This is brought about partially because of cryptominers hoarding critical parts for their usage. While the current market shortage is expected to go on for a little while longer, companies like NVIDIA are still looking to release new products, such as bigger, beefier graphics cards. 

A recent rumor has suggested that this may happen sooner than we expected, with a tentative arrival date of two 30-series card variants. A report that references a tweet has stated that two cards being developed by the manufacturer will be announced by December 17th, specifically the RTX 3070 Ti 16GB and the RTX 3080 Ti 12GB. The leak has claimed that both of these cards would be available on January 11th. 

These are newer iterations of GPUs that are already out. The new version of the RTX 3070 Ti will have double the RAM as the previous version, which has 8 GB of memory. The new 3080 Ti will have 12GB as compared to the 10GB from the original. 

The report also has a supposed release date for the rumored re-release of the RTX 2060, which will sport 12GB of RAM and launch on December 7th. The new 2060 will be based on the Turing processor and will have double the memory compared to the previous model. 

It seems NVIDIA is moving ahead with releasing new products even though customers cannot get their hands on components at regular market prices. All of these reports are still rumors, so they should all be taken with a pinch of salt. 

Along with refreshes and new versions of already released cards, NVIDIA seems eager to break into the next generation of graphics card technology. Let’s just hope we get the chance to use these new products.
