Creators of Food Wars! and Kuroko’s Basketball to Launch New Manga in April!

If you read manga, whether in volumes or following the chapters in magazines, you know how exciting reading the first chapter is. In general, the first chapter is longer, about double the length of a regular chapter which allows for building the plot and introducing the characters better.

This month, two new manga series will begin out of the four announced to be launched in Weekly Shonen Jump.

On Monday, the 18th issue of Weekly Shonen Jump was released. It revealed a new manga series, titled Tenmaku Cinema by Yūto Tsukuda and artist Shun Saeki.

The first chapter of Tenmaku Cinema will be released in the upcoming nineteenth issue on April 10. It focuses on Hajime, a high-school student who loves movies.

Tsukada and Saeki are known for their manga series Food Wars! Shokugeki no Soma. The manga ended in 2019 and has been adapted into TV anime series.

Other than that, the launch dates for the other three manga have also been revealed, with one of them releasing this month in the twentieth issue.

About Food Wars!

Food Wars!: Shokugeki no Soma is a Japanese shōnen manga series written by Yūto Tsukuda and illustrated by Shun Saeki.

Souma is the son of the owner of a small eatery in Japan. For his age, Souma is very talented and can quickly cook up some new dishes.

Souma’s father leaves the family business to work with his friend, and Souma’s restaurant is on the verge of closing. To improve his cooking skills and to save the restaurant, Souma begins studying in Engetsu Teahouse Culinary Academy, which is regarded as Japan’s top culinary academy.
