After the fierce battle ended, our heroes and the nation are slowly recovering from the aftermath. Things are looking better as foreign heroes are helping in the reconstruction. And we all expected that the fates of Class 1-A would be revealed soon.
Chapter 425 will be released on June 9, 2024. However, spoilers are already out, and as predicted, the fate of Class 1-A has been revealed.
Graduation Ceremony of the Third-Year Students
My Hero Academia Chapter 425 is titled “Out-of-season.” The chapter begins with the graduation ceremony for the former third-year students. During the ceremony, Tamaki and Nejire receive their diplomas. Some male students express sadness over Nejire leaving the school.
Present Mic acts as the DJ, aiming to bring liveliness to the graduation ceremony in the absence of cherry blossoms. Kirishima mentions that it feels more like a celebration than a typical graduation ceremony. The narration reveals that the events occur in June within the story’s timeline.
Then we see Tamaki inquiring about Nejire’s injuries, to which Nejire credits Mirio Togata for taking care of them during their time in the flying U.A. The narration also reveals that Nezu is a significant figure in the world, having contributed substantially to Japan’s reconstruction and negotiations with other countries.
Togata Mirio Bids Farewell With His Last Speech at U.A.
As Mic thanked Mawata Fuwa for the students’ speech, he called up Mirio Togata, the representative of the graduating class. When Mirio took the stage, he surprised everyone with a very formal introduction, which was unexpected as the students anticipated his joke.
Mirio expressed that despite using everything they had learned at the U.A. to help in the war, they still hadn’t returned to square zero. He emphasized that they had spent three years preparing for what came next, and the finish line wasn’t in sight yet.
He conveyed that a bright future couldn’t exist without humor, and their goal was to create a world of “positives,” not “zeroes,” where everyone could smile.
With a parting comment to Sir Nighteye, Mirio activated his quirk, causing the Kenranzaki Bibimi giant eyelashes car to crash onto the stage, eliciting laughter from all the students. As the event concluded, Mirio bid farewell to the students about to become the new 2nd and 3rd years.
Aoyama Quits as Shinso Joins Class 2-A
Class 1-A has been promoted to class 2-A, and Shoto Aizawa remains the homeroom teacher, much to everyone’s delight.
Aizawa summons Aoyama to the classroom, where he announces his decision to leave U.A. He explains that despite Tsukauchi’s approval to stay, he feels it’s best to depart. He feels that he had no right to attend the third year’s graduation ceremony since he joined U.A. at All For One’s request.
Aoyama expresses his plan to start anew on the path of heroism. Moved by Deku’s support, Aoyama tearfully offers Deku some cheese and promises Aizawa that one day he will stand alongside his friends. To lighten the mood, Aoyama playfully shoots lasers in all directions to reveal a surprise announcement that Shinso will be joining class 2-A.
Mawata Fuwa then enters the classroom to brief the second year about their upcoming tasks. Under Fuwa’s guidance, the second and third years will travel around the country to ensure their safety and assist with reconstruction.
History books will cover the time after All Might‘s retirement and the battle of Jaku, but much of this chaos will remain undocumented. Shoto mentions that AFO was born during such a chaotic period.
A Mysterious Character Introduced
After school, the students express excitement about the new first years joining tomorrow. When Deku approaches Uraraka to talk, she interrupts, noting his shaved hair from surgery and hopes it grows back. Sato compliments Tokoyami’s new frizzy look, which he didn’t intend, but he smiles.
In a panel, Uraraka is seen smiling while Deku looks solemn. Then, the scene shifts to a mysterious, panting, crying man walking through the destroyed streets – an unfamiliar character with black hair, dressed similarly to Kurogiri after his arrest. He touches a destroyed wall of a demolished house.
Deku asks Shoto about Aoyama’s farewell party, and Shoto confirms he is going, as long as it’s not today. Despite Deku’s worried look, Shoto reassures him he will be fine. Then we see Endeavor in a wheelchair facing some giant machine.
After chapter 425’s release, the manga will enter a 2-week hiatus.
