After returning to the role of Green Goblin in 2021’s Spider-Man: No Way Home, Willem Dafoe has no plans of slowing down. He already has multiple intriguing projects slated for 2023 and forward, one of them is, Inside, directed by Vasilis Katsoupis. Focus Features just released a new poster for the psychological thriller due in March.
Letterboxd shared the poster on Twitter featuring Willem Dafoe, the only confirmed cast member of the Katsoupis’ debut feature film. The film follows Dafoe’s Nemo, an art thief trapped in a penthouse he went to steal from and using his wits to plan his survival. The poster includes the film’s apt tagline, “a solitary exhibition.”
You can view Lettrboxd’s original tweet and the new Inside poster below:
Like many films in the pandemic era, the upcoming movie will use the New York penthouse as the sole set, and Dafoe will most likely play the only character featured in the film. The trend to use a limited set and cast may have been necessary in the COVID-19 times, but it serves as a unique idea and has birthed several commendable films such as The Whale and Kimi.
Whether or not the film will garner the same level of success as the aforementioned films remains a mystery. The movie will feature authentic artworks worth knowing the names of and include pieces from Egon Schiele, Lynn Chadwick, Maxwell Alexandre, Maurizio Cattelan, and David Horvitz.
Inside is due in theaters on March 10, 2023. So, book your ticket as soon as possible to catch Dafoe’s next banger.
